WIA visited the Silverlake site in Dorset on 25th October to carry out stage sign-off inspections of six homes.

Despite challenging weather conditions, it is heartening to see steady progress on site. October saw plot 10 reach Practical Completion status to be handed over to the new owners in time for Christmas.

Plot 10, a bespoke five bedroom, two storey “Habitat House” features a sedum roof and expansive glazed facades, which will connect this unit with the landscape.

Wakeling Island Plots 29 and 30

Plots 29 and 30, a pair of two bedroom semi-detached cottages are the first of their type to be built at Silverlake. With the roof now in place, these units are really taking shape.

To date, 13 of the 30 plots have been handed over, with only 3 plots awaiting sales.

Wakeling Island, phase two of the development at Silverlake, is due to be completed next year with phase three – Overton Island – following hot on its heels.
