Part I Architectural Assistant

I joined Willmore Iles Architects in March 2026 after completing my undergraduate course in Architecture at UWE Bristol. I am grateful to be working in such a pleasant environment and be part of such a supportive and friendly team.

Background:

My journey towards architecture began with a love of product design at school and sixth form, where I developed a particular passion for working with plywood. It was during this time that the idea of studying architecture first took hold. I went on to complete an Extended Project Qualification exploring modular design, and gained valuable work experience at a practice — getting hands-on with new software and applying it directly to my project work. I’m now excited to begin this next chapter as an architectural assistant and see where the path leads.

Professional Interests:

I have a strong interest in residential architecture, and in particular the challenge of designing housing that is both affordable and sustainable. With the UK’s ongoing housing crisis and rising house prices, I’m passionate about creating homes that are accessible to everyone — not just those who can afford them. This means thinking beyond building from scratch and exploring how existing structures can be sensitively adapted and reimagined to become more environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable.

And in the rest of life…

Outside of work, I value time with family and friends. When the weather allows, I love exploring Bristol on foot, wandering without a fixed destination and discovering the city at its own pace. I’ve always enjoyed baking, and lately I’ve been dedicating more time to it, working my way through new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen.
