The proposal was to convert the property, previously arranged as a restaurant with upper storey flat, to a four bedroom family home with a small commercial unit to the street frontage. The proposals extended the property by creating a further storey; adopting the approach and maximum envelope set by the previous consent.
The extension is a set-back roof and single large projecting dormer. We will retain the rear single storey of the existing buildingand remove the glazed light to provide a terrace for the house.
The height of the terrace has been designed to ensure that there is no overlooking / intervisibility between the terrace and the gardens to neighbouring properties.
