I’m a Project Architect, joining WIA in 2014. My role is quite varied, working on both high end leisure developments and student accommodation projects.

I work on projects from concept to completion. With good technical experience, I often work on detailed drawing packages and the development of specification documents. To to meet our clients’ requirements, I work closely with the wider design team to coordinate information and deliver a quality product.

My other roles include coordinating CPD sessions for the office and providing front line IT support.

Background:

I have previous experience as a timber frame designer, working closely with engineers and manufacturers. My work in New Zealand has given me experience in a wide range of sectors and ignited my interest in the use of timber in construction.

I completed my RIBA Part II and III at UWE Bristol and have a BA (Hons) in Architectural Studies from Newcastle University.

Professional Interests:

I’m passionate about sustainable development, with a particular interest in affordable housing and reducing waste and energy use in the construction industry. As part of the IT subcommittee here at WIA I stay up to date with the latest developments in BIM and the efficiencies this can create within the industry.

And in the rest of life…

I play 5-a-side football once a week with work colleagues and am a keen runner, participating in various organised events. I am a proud father, and am never more content than when I’m walking in the countryside with my family.
