Architect

I joined Willmore Iles Architects in November 2018 as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, after completing my Masters in Architecture at UWE.

Since joining WIA, I have been involved in the large-scale student Accommodation work at Durham University, Mount Oswald Residences

Background:

I completed my BA (Hons) in Architecture at Newcastle University, then briefly worked as a Project Assistant at an Interiors Specialist which allowed me to focus on the smaller detail and finishes of a building. I then worked as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant at a small Architect and Planners company based in London. Gaining valuable experience in masterplanning and regeneration schemes whilst being exposed to the UK planning and development sectors and working with local communities.

Professional Interests:

I am currently at the beginning of my Architecture career and I plan to continue my training to become a qualified architect.

I enjoy the both the natural and social responsibility of my work and have been lucky enough to see many different countries and experience a range of cultures through both studying for my degree and travelling. I enjoy looking at how design facilitates the region, culture and material explorations in a certain area. I am now looking to progress into a wider range of projects to both challenge myself and put into practise what I have learnt thus far.

And in the rest of life …

I am an avid skier, having spent a winter in New Zealand gaining my ski instructor qualification there is nothing more I love than spending time on a mountain in the snow.
