Following demolition, site clearance and enabling works in the Summer and Autumn of 2018, new construction has started in earnest on site at both Moberly and Spreytonway, forming levels and constructing retaining walls and ground floor slabs.

The weather has been challenging and there’s been a lot of water for Vinci to contend with, but good progress is being made and we’ll be out of the ground soon ready for the building frames to start going up. The Moberly scheme utilises a Metek light gauge steel frame with composite concrete floors, whilst Spreytonway is to be a concrete framed structure with light steel frame infill.

The project will create 382 bedrooms across the two sites on University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus. We started on site with demolition in Summer 2018 and are due to complete in April 2020.
